For a landscape photographer Cape Foulwind, near Westport, is a dream area (see Recent Images). The range of beautiful cliffs and rock formations provide endless photo opportunities. But you need a low tide and ideally a cloudy/overcast day – although a sunny day might work, and would provide different sorts of images. I recently revisited Cape Foulwind and found it just as unique and varied as the first time I was there. I was able to take new shots of things I had not noticed before – a fulfilling experience for a photographer! Some of the cliff faces are almost artworks in themselves – see examples at Recent Images. I you go on a weekday there will be not another soul around…
